Saturday, October 7: 10th Annual Bandon Feeds the Hungry Variety Show

BANDON — The 10th annual Bandon Feeds the Hungry variety show and silent auction fundraiser is set for 7 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Sprague Community Theater, 1202 11th St. SW in City Park.

Participate in an evening of music, fun and a silent auction while donating money to food assistance organizations that help keep the Bandon community strong.

This lively event will present entertainment, including a dance by 2017 Cranberry Queen Sarah Skeie and her little princess court, music by Bay City Swing of the Oregon Coast Lab Band, tap dancers from MarLo Dance Studio, dancer Strider Kachelein, belly dancing by Joanna Maria, magic by Greg Kirk, Teen Idol contestant Angelina Morones, a medley by Geneva Miller, Lennae and Elyse Wright, a duet by Isaac and Ethan Wright, guitar and vocals by John Harding, singing by Zeta Hay and more.

The silent auction includes items and gift certificates donated by local individuals and merchants. Attendees will also enjoy door prizes, a 50/50 drawing, and refreshments. Masters of ceremonies Mike Dempsey and Neal Davis will be sure to entertain with their quick wit as they guide the audience through the evening.

Many local businesses and individuals have already donated cash to Bandon Feeds the Hungry. Those donations are much appreciated and needed locally. All proceeds from the variety show and silent auction will directly benefit Bandon’s five food assistance programs, which are dedicated to addressing the needs of the hungry: Bandon Senior Nutrition, Coastal Harvest Gleaners, E.A.T., Good Neighbors Food Bank and Restoration Church Food Pantry.

Tickets to the variety show are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students and $5 for children 10 and younger. Families can attend for $25. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Bring canned food to receive a raffle ticket for door prize drawings.
