You are invited to attend a Disaster Readiness program on Wednesday, March 7 at the Community Center in City Park. Althea Rizzo from the Oregon Department of Emergency Management will be making the presentations. There are two sessions, and you are invited to attend one or both.
Please invite your Board of Directors and others in your chain of command as we want as many community leaders as possible to attend. The general public has an earlier session just for them and will not be invited to these two session.

1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
o Tsunami Ready (and other programs) updates
§ Audience: Community leaders and first responders
§ 2 hours
§ Meet with stakeholders to brief on the updated TR guidelines and other developments
§ There may be powerpoint presentations.
3:30 PM to 5:30 PM
o Preparedness and Mitigation Round tables
§ Audience: Community leaders, volunteer groups, NGOs, and first responders
§ 2 hours
§ Outcome: share best practices, move local efforts forward
§ Hazard Mitigation Plan
§ Evacuation planning
§ Check-in – where is the community and what still needs to be done?
§ There will likely be powerpoint presentations.
