Want to become a certified health coach?
Part of the mission for OSU Extension Family & Community Health is to help build community resources. In 2019, the WE CAN cancer study (Wellness Education for Cancer Nutrition) identified gaps in the county’s resources to provide nutrition education to residents. One shortcoming is that our county has very few qualified health professionals and paraprofessionals who can assist residents in adopting and implementing healthy lifestyle behaviors. In an effort to build capacity, OSU Extension is partnering with Real Balance Global Wellness Services, Inc. to provide an online, live Health Coach Certification training for Coos County.
The cost of the certification course is dependent on the number of potential coaches who enroll. It is anticipated we can reduce the cost of the program from $1,495 to $1,000 or less. This is a nominal investment for a career in health coaching. See attached class flier and additional information about Real Balance.
