The Friends of South Slough Reserve promote and assist South Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve in its educational and research activities, as well as obtain grants and other funding to promote and support the Reserve and its programs.
The Friends of South Slough Reserve sponsor many activities each year to raise money for community education, trail development, and research about estuaries. The Friends maintain a bookstore at the interpretive center, help interpret South Slough’s ecology and natural features for visitors, as well as assist with guided trail walks, classes, and hosting special events.
