Members and Friends of BandonCares,
Greetings from your Steering Committee. As you know, BandonCares is a network of nonprofit organizations serving Bandon to improve communication and cooperation among leaders and volunteers of these organizations. We also strive to help our organizations to build their capacities.
At our last semi-annual networking meeting in the spring, we asked in the evaluation forms for the meeting about what kinds of training would be the most useful to our organizations. “Fundraising” came up almost universally in the responses that we received.
As a result, the steering committee would like to include a speaker covering a fundraising topic at our fall networking meeting. We hope to follow that up with a couple of workshops on fundraising as we get into our winter months.
But fundraising covers a wide, diverse array of components from special fundraising events to individual donor campaigns to sponsorships, the list goes on. And our organizations vary significantly in their sustainable fundraising planning, if they have done any at all.
As we put together our next network meeting and fundraising workshops, we are asking for your help. We have built a survey that will assist us as we design the meeting and workshops to best fit your needs.
We hope you can find some time to complete the survey in the next week or so. We would like to have the results of our survey by September 15 to be able to plan for an October event (tentatively scheduled for October 25).
